ARDEX ENDURA (INDIA) PVT LTD (AEIPL in short) is a joint venture between ARDEX GmbH Group, Germany and Prism Cement Limited, India. Both the partners hold 50% each of the Share Capital of the Company. Initially, the Company was incorporated with the equity and technology participation by Norcros Group based in UK. Ardex Group acquired the adhesive division of Norcros Group in 2001. As a result, AEIPL (formerly, BAL ENDURA ADHESIVES (INDIA) PVT LTD) came to be associated with ARDEX Group of Germany and the name of the Company was changed in line with this. The Associate Company, ARDEX BETEILIGUNGS GmbH holds 50% of the paid up capital of AEIPL. The balance 50% is held by Prism Cement Ltd. The brands ‘BAL ENDURA’ and ‘ARDEX ENDURA’ are synonymous in Indian market and they are the Corporate Brands of the Company.
AEIPL manufactures and sells tile fixing adhesives, flooring products, water proofing concrete repair and allied products. It is considered the brand and technology leader in the tiling adhesive market in India. The Company’s products (Tile Fixing Adhesives) comply with the British standards and Indian Standards. AEIPL has plants at Bangalore, Karnataka and Baroda, Gujarat. The Company has 28 branches across the country. The major sale is achieved through branches and a robust dealer network consisting of more than 1200 outlets, in case of adhesives, Grouts and tile care products; Flooring and waterproofing products are supplied to the projects directly.
AEIPL has Technical Know-How Agreements with ARDEX Group companies for manufacture of some of the specialty products. The ARDEX Group has several Centers of Excellence in different parts of the world and the latest technology flows in from these centers to AEIPL. The Company’s products are sold under the Trade Marks like ‘Silver Star’, ‘Gold Star’, ‘Diamond Star’, ‘Platinum Star’, ‘White Star’, etc., which are well known in the Indian Construction Sector.
